Definition time! Today’s lexicon is “appraisal”. More likely than not, you’ve heard and have an idea of what it means. The exact definition is, “an act of assessing something or someone (source: Oxford Languages).” 

A real estate appraisal, means an (unbiased) evaluation of a piece of property based on many factors by a qualified appraiser to determine its value.
