Sellers’ Market

3-3.png

Did you know? According to DaveRamsey.com, February of this year (2020) marked the STRONGEST home sales since 2007! There were over 5 million sales across the country, and real estate experts think this tremendous growth is due to the incredibly low mortgage rates. Did you buy or sell a home this year?

Inventory is especially low in the Gallatin Valley. If you are thinking about selling your house, give Jenny Hershberger a call to find out more. 407-570-5869 / hershjenny@gmail.com

Budget for a New Home

2-4.png

Whether you’re going to purchase a home in the near future, or you know you want to own a home later on in life, it’s never too early to create a home purchasing #budget.

How do you do this?
1st Add up all your sources of income.
2nd Add up all your monthly non-housing expenses. Spare no detail here!
3rd Subtract both and you’re left with the amount you can use to cover housing expenses.

As daveramsey.com suggests, “keep your mortgage payment to no more than 25% of your monthly take-home pay on a 15-year fixed-rate mortgage. Don’t forget to save a little extra each month to cover regular maintenance.”

Happy Thanksgiving

colors-grow-orange-633480.jpg

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It ushers in a cozy season of soft light, comfort food and good company.  I like the intentionality of thanksgiving.  It is wonderful to pause and count our blessings.  I have peace when I take the time to dwell on good things . . .

I am grateful for the people in my life. Even in the moments that I feel alone and far away, I recognize that I am deeply loved.  I have a roof over my head and food in my belly.  My needs are met and even surpassed.  I am grateful that I have the ability to be generous.  I am thankful to live in one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I have been blessed with understanding and integrity. All the good things in my life have been given to me by the grace of God, who I am most thankful for.

Have you counted your blessings recently?  What are you thankful for?

Appraisal

10.png

Definition time! Today’s lexicon is “appraisal”. More likely than not, you’ve heard and have an idea of what it means. The exact definition is, “an act of assessing something or someone (source: Oxford Languages).”

A real estate appraisal, means an (unbiased) evaluation of a piece of property based on many factors by a qualified appraiser to determine its value. Each home is unique and so this is often an obligatory step in the purchase or sale of property. For more information, contact Jenny Hershberger today. 406-570-5869 / hershjenny@gmail.com

“Ultimate Professional” and “Friend We Could Trust”

stockphoto.jpg

I am always grateful for the generous words of my clients . . . “Jenny was the ultimate professional all through our purchase process, but she also became a friend we could trust to give us a straight answer, to keep us on track, and to keep our spirits up when we got discouraged. She was unfailingly patient, prompt, and determined to find what we wanted and needed. She is so quiet and soft-spoken, but she was not afraid at all to be firm and honest with us. She works hard to know the market. We feel so lucky that she is the one who responded to our inquiry.”  - Sherry F.

Those who have served in the military are near and dear to my heart. Many of my family members and friends have served in the various branches. It’s no small thing. You have given more than most of us will ever comprehend. Thank you. Bless you.
